Theresa Ann Walliser, 87, of Tiffin, died at 9:45 a.m., Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at St. Francis Home, Tiffin.
Theresa was born March 20, 1935, in Tiffin to Ralph Francis and Leona T. (Steinmetz) Smith. She married Eugene L. Walliser on July 28, 1956, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin, and he died on February 22, 2019.
Survivors include five sons, Thomas Walliser of Columbus, Joseph (Michele) Walliser of Winter Haven, Florida, Richard (Kim) Walliser of Jacksonville, Florida, John (Mandy) Walliser of Wayne, James Walliser of Woodville; five daughters, Anne (Jim) Duty of Tiffin, Theresa Hernandez of Tiffin, Mary (Doug) Walliser of Dunnellon, Florida, Jeani (Buddy) Colley of Canfield, and Amy (Olivia) Walliser of Virginia Beach, Virginia; 14 Grandchildren, 13 Great-Grandchildren; and a sister, Sister Regina Smith of Toledo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; four brothers, Paul Smith, Herman Smith, Joseph Smith, and Victor Smith; and three sisters, Sister Bonaventure, Irene Steinhauser, and Mary Alice Bouillon.
Theresa was a 1953 graduate of Calvert High School. She had worked at LaSalle’s Department Store and was also a homemaker and mother. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Francis Auxiliary, and the Rosary Altar Society.
A Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 6, 2023, at the Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883, 419-447-3113, with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Visitation for Family and Friends will an hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association or St. Francis Ciara Unit.
