Michelle Marie (Eichhorn) Harper

August 5, 1958 — July 12, 2020

Tiffin

Michelle Marie (Eichhorn) Harper, 61, of Tiffin, was carried away in angel’s arms on Sunday, July 12, 2020, from her home surrounded by her family.

Michelle was born August 5, 1958, in Tiffin to William and Nancy (Roth) Eichhorn both whom have embraced her in their arms again.  She married Dennis Harper September 22, 2007, whom was not only her husband but friend and caregiver until the very end.  He will carry on her memory at the home they shared.

Left to cherish the memories she shared and carry her love for life are her four children, Keith (Erin) Sherwood of New Riegel, Jeremy (Julia) Sherwood of Bloomville, Jacob Sherwood of Dayton, Alexandra (Jordan) Durr of Delaware; step-daughters, Nicole (Neil) Podach of Findlay, Stephanie (Bobby) Willis of Mansfield; grandchildren, Olivia, Landon, Jordynn, Jaxsyn, and Jaceyk Sherwood, Avery Durr, Issac and Grayson Podach; two sisters, Fran (John) Andersons of Tiffin, Nan (Tim) Borer of Bowling Green; a brother, Steve (Deb) Eichhorn of Findlay; mother-in-law, Jane Harper of Tiffin; many nieces and nephews; and friends.

Those who have gone before and welcoming her into the pearly gates along with her parents are a granddaughter, Kori Sherwood; father-in-law, Harry Harper; and a nephew, Sean Eichhorn.

Michelle dedicated 43 years of her life working for ICP in Tiffin, until her earthly body said, “that’s enough”. She didn’t retire without a fight!  She considered everyone she worked with her “family”, they really meant a lot to her.  When you didn’t find Michelle at work you could find her enjoying her “kids” in the goat barn, joy riding on their pontoon boat, watching birds, spending time sitting on the back porch alongside her loving husband, fishing, attending events that her family (especially grandchildren) participated in and was a fan of the Cleveland Browns. The time she spent with her kids and grandkids was something she cherished the most.

A Walk-Through Visitation for family and friends will be from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, July 16, 2020, at the Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe St. Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113. Visitors are asked to wear masks and social distance as they walk through, pay respects, and exit without lingering.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 17, 2020, at the funeral home with the Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. The family requests in honor of the short life she lived, that you wear purple, Michelle’s favorite color.  Burial will follow in Seneca Memory Gardens.
