Obituary

Duane L. "Dewey" Coleman, 86, of Bascom, died Friday, July 1, 2022, at his residence.

He was born March 31, 1936, in Alvada, to Walter and Helena (Reinhart) Coleman.

He is survived by a brother, Edgar (Mary) Coleman of Fostoria; a sister, Kathleen Stumpp of Cleveland; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by eight siblings, Gerald Coleman, Berneda Moes, Virgil Coleman, Cyrilla Coleman, Donald Coleman, Cleora Hendricks, Florian Coleman, and Marilyn Welly.

Duane retired from the Bascom Tile Mill and was known in Bascom as "The Can Man." He delivered the A-T in Bascom. He was a member of All Saints Parish, formerly St. Patrick Catholic Church, Bascom.

Visitation for family and friends will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday, at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe St. Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113.  Visitation will also be 9:00 – 9:30 a.m. Friday, July 8, 2022, at All Saints Parish, New Riegel.

Funeral Mass will be, at 9:30 a.m. Friday, July 8, 2022, at All Saints Parish, New Riegel, with Rev. Timothy Kummerer officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Nicholas Cemetery, Frenchtown.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Seneca County Commission on Aging, Bascom Fire Dept., Meadowbrook Park, the American Red Cross or to F.A.C.T.
