Christine M. (Schetter) Breidenbach

Christine M. Breidenbach, 92, of Tiffin, died at 11:45 a.m. Friday, October 22, 2021, at Volunteers of America, Autumnwood Care Center, Tiffin.

She was born February 5, 1929, in Tiffin, to Francis and Berneice (Kuhn) Schetter.  She married Paul J. Breidenbach June 26, 1948, at St. Joseph Catholic Church.  He died March 10, 2014.

Survivors include two sons, Stephen (Lucretia) Breidenbach and Dennis Breidenbach both of Tiffin; two daughters, Paula (Dennis) Wise and Marcia (Val) Martinez, both of Tiffin; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, a brother James Schetter of Tiffin; three sisters, Lucille Rice, Kathy Keefe and Marilyn “Cookie” Kastner, all of Tiffin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Eugene Schetter, two sisters, Geraldine Payne, and Julie Tiell; two sisters-in-law Rita Brickner, and Alma Moffet, and a brother-in-law, Arthur Breidenbach.

Christine was a 1947 Calvert High School graduate; she worked at Pure Milk and Dairy and retired from Hopewell-Loudon School after working 18 years in the cafeteria. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella, St. Francis Auxiliary, Allen Eiry Senior Citizens, and several card clubs.

Visitation for family and friends will be 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 27, 2021,  at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, Ohio  44883, (419)447-3113.

Prayers will be said at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, followed by the funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church.  Rev. Joseph Szybka will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. The Rosary will be recited in church 30 minutes prior to Mass.

The family wishes to thank Autumnwood Care Center and Stein Hospice for their wonderful care of Christine.
