William "Bill" Francis Eichhorn

William Francis “Bill” Eichhorn, 82, of Tiffin, died at 12:01 am Friday, February 5, 2016, at Heartland of Waterville.

Bill was born June 23, 1933 in Tiffin to William and Frances (Warnement) Eichhorn.  On February 11, 1956 he married Nancy Roth in Sandusky and she survives in Tiffin.

Other Survivors include a son, Stephen Eichhorn of Tiffin; three daughters, Michelle (Denny) Harper, Fran (John) Andersons both of Tiffin, and Nan (Tim) Borer of Bowling Green; nine Grandchildren; four Great Grandchildren; and a brother, John (Mary) Eichhorn of Tiffin.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Sean Eichhorn; and a great granddaughter, Korie Elizabeth Sherwood.

Bill was a 1951 graduate of Calvert Catholic High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955, worked at Yates & Young Plumbing was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and 4th Degree Knights of Columbus. Bill was an all around repairman and fix-it person for family and others, hard worker, loved his family above all and was a beloved husband, father and grandfather.

Visitation for family and friends will be 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, February 8, 2016, at the Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe St. Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113. A Wake service will be at 3:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.  The 4th Degree Knights of Columbus will stand Honor Guard from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Prayers will be said at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 9, 2016, at the funeral home followed by the funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating.  The Rosary will be recited 20 minutes prior to the Mass at the church.  Burial will take place immediately following in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery with military rites performed by United Veterans Council of Seneca County.

Memorial contributions may be made to Calvert Catholic Schools, Knights of Columbus Vocations Fund or Knights of Columbus Measure Up Campaign in care of the funeral home.
