WILBUR J. TAYLOR, Jr.

Wilbur Taylor, age 73, Tiffin, Ohio, died March 25, 2002. He was born to Wilbur Taylor, Sr. and Edna (Smith) Taylor on May 3, 1928 in Sandusky, Ohio. He married Rosemary Ruffing on December 29, 1951 in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Bellevue, Ohio by the late Rev. Louis J. Mayle. Mrs. Taylor survives.
Other survivors include, 2 sons, Thomas J. Taylor & Patrick W. Taylor ; 4 daughters, Susan (Lester)Taylor Hall; Christine (David)Taylor Gottschalk; Catherine (Robert)Taylor Swenson; and Linda (Mark) Taylor Danklefsen; and 7 grandchildren, Matthew Hall, Andea Taylor, Andrew Hall, Kelly Taylofr, Kate Gottschalk, Michelle Swenson, Shannon Swenson. He is preceded in death by his step brother, Richard Smith.
Mr. Taylor was a Clyde High School graduate. He served in the United States Army Air Corps from 1946 - 1949 as a 1st Sgt., then he served in the Army Reserve from 1950 - 1988.
Mr. Taylor had retired in 1991 as an inspector of quality control at Whirlpool Corp. in Clyde, Ohio. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin, and he was also a member of the VFW Post 749 in Fremont, Ohio. Burial will take place in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, with a military rites ceremony at the gravesite.
Contributions may be made to Community Hospice Care of Tiffin, St. Mary Church Refurbishment Fund or for Masses.
