Viola A. Stultz, age 88, formerly of Jackson St., Tiffin, Ohio died at 7:10 p.m., Sunday, April 25, 2010 at St. Francis Home.
Viola was born on November 19, 1921 in Antwerp, Ohio to the late Nicholas and Cecilia (Temple) Ardner. She married Howard W. Stultz, Sr. on June 22, 1944 in St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria and he died on November 12, 1986.
Viola is survived by four sons, Howard W. (Ruth Ann) Stultz, Jr., James (Brenda) Stultz, Timothy Stultz all of Tiffin, and Kevin Stultz of Fayetteville, N.C.; four daughters, Linda (Harold) Brickner, Mary (Larry) Bean, Becky (Don) Hoepf all of Tiffin, and Gail (Thomas) Boes of New Riegel; 20 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; six step-great grandchildren; one brother, Robert (Joanne) Ardner of Tulsa, Okla.; one sister, Ruth Ann Hunt of Wapakoneta; one sister-in-law, Phyllis Ardner of Tiffin.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Paul Ardner; daughter-in-law Kathy; two sisters, Catherine Slater and Rita Speelman; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.
Viola attended St. Wendelin High School. She was a retired beautician and homemaker. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, the Alzheimer’s Support Group and the Rosary Altar Society.
Family and friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8, Thursday, April 29, 2010 at Traunero Funeral Home, 214 South Monroe St., Tiffin, Ohio, 44883, 419-447-3113. There will be a wake service at 1:45 p.m.
Prayers will be said at 9:30 a.m., Friday, April 30, 2010 at the funeral home, followed by the funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church with the Rev. Gary Walters officiating. The Rosary will be recited 20 minutes prior to the Mass at the church. Burial will take place immediately following in Seneca Memory Gardens.
Memorials may be made to the Calvert Foundation, Bridge Hospice and St. Francis Home in care of the funeral home.
