Victor A. Reamer

Victor A. Reamer, 89, of Tiffin, died at 12:29 p.m. Sunday, March 25, 2018, at home, surrounded by his family.

Victor was born January 18, 1929, in Lancaster, Ohio to Florian and Blanche (Bair) Reamer.  He married Elizabeth A. Schumm September 25, 1954, at St. Joseph Catholic Church and she died March 3, 2008.

Survivors include six sons, Stephen (Deb) Reamer of Tiffin, Lawrence (Dawn Casler) Reamer of Columbus, Mark (Deb) Reamer of Tiffin, Dennis Reamer of Tiffin, Brian (Regina) Reamer of Tiffin, Dave (Rebecca) Reamer of Toledo; two daughters, Nancy (David) Dysard of Toledo, Lisa (Dusty) McConnell of Columbus; 22 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a sister, Dorothy Staib of Fostoria.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and three brothers, Richard, Lenus and Donald Reamer.

Victor was a 1947 Lancaster, St. Mary’s High School graduate.  He was a member of the United States Air Force during the Korean War, from 1948 to 1952. Vic was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.  He retired in 1992, after 38 years at Whirlpool Corporation in Clyde.

Visitation for family and friends will be 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, 2018, at the Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-3113.  A wake service will be at 6 p.m.

Prayers will be said at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at the funeral home followed by a funeral Mass at 2 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Rev. Joseph Szybka will officiate. The Rosary will be recited 20 minutes prior to the Mass at the church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery with military rites provided by the Seneca County United Veterans Council.

Memorial contributions may be made to Calvert Catholic Schools or to the St. Joseph the Worker Fund, through St. Joseph Parish Tiffin.
