Thomas was born July 17, 1937, in Evanston, Ill. to Arthur and Mercedes (LuMaye) Holz.
Survivors include two sons, Douglas (Jenny) Holz of Powell, Patrick (LuAnn) Holz of Fishers, Ind.; five grandchildren, Michelle Ann, Michelle Renee, Alexander, Olivia, and Sophia; a daughter-in-law, Karen Holz of Bloomfield, Ind.; a son-in-law, Randy Plough of Anderson, Ind.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Robert Holz; and a daughter, Anna Plough.
Tom graduated high school in Lansing, Mich. and also was a graduate of Michigan State University. He retired as a Metallurgical Engineer. He worked at Kelsey-Hayes and Hayes-Albion as well as other locations. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and he was involved in various church activities, and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2014 at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113. A wake service will be at 4:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Prayers will be said at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday Sept 17, 2014. The funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. Burial will take place in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
