Sharma F. Heyman, 95, of Tiffin, died at 11:33 a.m. Friday, May 6, 2022, at the Willows at Tiffin. She was born October 23, 1926, in Morgan County, Ohio to Clyde and Della (Fuller) Thompson. She married Eugene Heyman, June 2, 1956, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. He died March 15, 2022.
She is survived by a daughter, Beth (James) Link, of Tiffin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, Roy Thompson, Ralph Thompson, Wayne Thompson; and five sisters, Eileen Thompson, and Josephene McInturf, Coral Alexander, Wilda Thompson and Vera Thompson.
Sharma was a 1944 graduate of Homer Union High School. She retired from General Electric as an inspector. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Tiffin Amvets. She loved shopping and going on Casino trips with her husband. She was well known for her crocheting talents. She crocheted over 190 afghans and gave them to family, church festivals and anyone who needed them. The family expresses their special thanks to all the staff at the Willows, Dr. Sears, Dr. Akers, and Heartland Hospice.
Visitation for family and friends will be 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin.
The funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at the church, officiated by Rev. Joseph Szybka. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. The Rosary will be recited 30 minutes prior to the funeral at the church.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or to Promedica Heartland Hospice.
