Ruth E. Compston, 82, of Pensacola, Florida, formerly of Cottage Ave., Tiffin, OH died at
4:25 a.m., Tuesday, October 10, 2006 at Baptist Hospital, Pensacola, FL.
She was born July 16, 1924, in Springfield, Ohio, to the late George & Bertha (Levan) Craig. On April 3, 1972, in Jellico, Tennessee, she married Delbert J. Compston, who died on October 2, 2002.
Surviving are 4 sons: Richard Payton, Tipp City, OH, Russell Payton, Larry Payton, Donald Payton, Pensacola, FL, 2 daughters; Roberta Mueller, Pensacola, FL, Lea Rae Kraft, Tiffin, many grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, 2 sisters; Shirley McCoy and Phyllis Simcox both of Springfield, OH.
Mrs. Compston retired from housekeeping at Mercy Hospital of Tiffin and was a member of the Church of the Nazarene.
There will be no visitation or services. Burial will take place in Ashland, KY at a later date.
