Rose Marie Brickner, 97, of Tiffin, died at 1:19 p.m., Monday, December 22, 2025, at Autumnwood Care Center of Tiffin, to join her family.
Rose was born on May 18, 1928, in Tiffin to Joseph Edward and Ida Catherine (Sheibley) Klopp. She married Mark Q. Brickner October 22, 1955, at St. Joseph Catholic Church and he died April 15, 2007. Survivors include a daughter, Shelly A. (Michael D.) Riedel of Tiffin; three grandsons, Chad Brickner-Latham, Adam Q. Collier, Aron Collier; a step-grandson, Shane Riedel; and two great-granddaughters, Olivia Holmer and Sophia Collier, many nieces and nephews, and three sisters-in law.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two daughters, Gail M. Brickner, Karen L. Brickner, and a sister, Mary Jane Romay.
Rose attended St. Joseph Catholic School, was a 1946 graduate of Calvert Catholic High School, and graduated from the Minnick Beauty College, Mansfield 1946-1947. She worked at Lady Fair Salon in Tiffin for 20 years, and then she retired as a cosmetologist and hairdresser at St. Francis Home for 31 years, retiring in 1999. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, the Altar Rosary Society, VFW 2858 Ladies Auxiliary, and she loved to bake and cook for the club and friends.
There will be no visitation.
A Mass of Christian burial will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin, with Rev. Jesse Chick officiating. The rosary will be recited 30 minutes prior to the Mass. Entombment will follow in Seneca Memory Gardens Mausoleum. TRAUNERO FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883.
