ROBERT HENRY KELBLEY, SR.

Robert Henry Kelbley, Sr., age 93, of TR 112, Fostoria, died at 8:19 pm Friday, May 7, 2010, at Good Shepherd Home, Fostoria.

He was born November 30, 1916, in Loudon Township, to the late Emmet and Lucy (Welly) Kelbley. He married Vonetta Corrine Brickner, June 5, 1943 in St. Andrew Catholic Church, Liberty Twp, and she survives in Fostoria.

Also surviving are two sons, Robert H. Kelbley, Jr. of Land –O-Lakes, Fla., and Laurence (Catherine) Kelbley of Fostoria; a daughter, Jeanette (John) Lynch of Tiffin; nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Willis Kelbley and a sister, Mary Ellen Kuhn.

Mr. Kelbley was a lifelong farmer. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Bascom, the Sandusky River Coon Hunters, Pheasants Forever, and a life member of the Fostoria United Sportsmen. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with grandchildren. He was an avid Euchre player and active in wildlife preservation.

Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Monday, May 10, 2010 at Traunero Funeral Home, 214 South Monroe St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113. A Wake Service will be at 8:45 p.m. at the funeral home.

Prayers will be said at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at the funeral home, followed by the funeral Mass at 10 a.m., in St. Patrick Catholic Church officiated by Rev. Art Newiadomski. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Bascom. Rosary will be recited in church 20 minutes prior to Mass.

Memorials may be made to the American Parkinson Disease Association or to F.A.C.T. in care of the funeral home.
