He was born January 29, 1950, in Tiffin, to Richard Thomas and Mary C. (Crist) Omlor. He married Laurie Smith in May of 1977, and she died June 24, 1992.
Survivors include four sons, John (Shawna) Omlor, Karl (Beth) Omlor, Robert Omlor, and William Omlor, all of Tiffin; eight grandchildren, Mercedes, Addison, Abby, John “Bubba”, Andrew, Gracie, Grant, and Michael; five brothers, Joe Omlor of Findlay, Phill Omlor of Spokane, Wash., Kenneth Omlor of Tiffin, Danny Omlor of Tiffin, and Jerry Omlor of Lake Charles, La.; and four sisters, Jane Swan and Angie Cicero, both of San Diego, Calif., and Theresa Provino and Annette Walters, both of Tiffin.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Pat Omlor.
Mr. Omlor served in the US Army Special Forces and was a cab driver, owning and operating Service Cab in Tiffin for over 40 years. He also worked at Atlas Industries.

Services will be at 8 pm Thursday, July 26, 2012 at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, with Rev. Michael Roemmele officiating. Military rites will also be conducted by the United Veteran’s Council of Seneca County.
