Rita was born January 27, 1921 in Seneca County, to Elmer and Lorene (Weinandy) Breidenbach. She married Cleophas Otto Brickner on November 22, 1945 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin. He died August 24, 2000.
She is survived by a son, Ronald O. (Kelly) Brickner of Fostoria; three daughters, Darlene Hohman of New Riegel, Lois (Brett) Willoughby, Donna (Paul) Gosche both of Tiffin; eight grandchildren, Shelly Biggert, Greg Hohman, Aaron Hohman, Jodi Tebeau, Brian Gosche, Niki Miller, Matt Brickner, Sean Brickner; eight great-grandchildren, Jadon, Trent, Bryce, Hayden, Drew, Cameron, Camden, Olivia; three brothers, Art (Marie) Breidenbach, Paul (Christine) Breidenbach, and Tom (Joyce) Breidenbach all of Tiffin; two sisters, Alma (Paul) Moffett and Susie (Phillip) Hohman both of Tiffin.
Rita was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband.
Rita was a homemaker, and member of Sts. Patrick and Andrew Catholic Church, Liberty Township, Altar Rosary Society and the Daughters of Isabella.
Visitation for family and friends will be 4-8 PM Thursday, August 8, 2013 at the Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, OH 44883, 419-447-3113 with a Wake service at 3:45 PM, Thursday.
Prayers will be said at 9:45 AM at the funeral home Friday, August 9 2013 followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM at Sts. Patrick and Andrew Catholic Church, Liberty Twp., with Rev. Timothy Kummerer officiating. The Rosary will be recited 20 minutes prior to the Mass at the church. Burial will follow in St. Andrew's Cemetery, Liberty Twp.
Memorial contributions may be made to Sts. Patrick and Andrew Catholic Church or the ALS Foundation in care of the funeral home.
