Renee M. Sand, 62, of Tiffin, died at 8:35 a.m. May 17, 2016, at her residence.  She was born December 15, 1953, in Seneca County, to Edward and Iretha (Taylor) Werling, Jr.  She married Lloyd Sand June 6, 1992, in Tiffin, and he survives.

Other survivors include, a son, John Stewart of Tiffin; three daughters, Sandra Stewart of Tiffin; Melissa Payne of Cincinnati; Brynnen (Julio) Torres-Juarez of Columbus; eight grandchildren, Jaccob (Megan Mizen) Payne, Alexia (Daniel Miller) Payne, Noelle Payne, Jose Castillo, Pursia Castillo, Zandra Torres-Juarez, Dharani Torres-Juarez, Asiel Torres-Juarez; a great grandchild, Loki Payne; two brothers, Michael (Linda) Werling of Olney,Illinois; Stephen (Marilyn) Werling of San Antonio,Texas; three sisters, Margaret Werling, Theresa (Joe) Feasel and Madeline Scherger all of Tiffin; nieces and nephews, Michele (Richard) Reynolds, Bobby Reynolds, Christy (James) Moore, Nicholas Moore, Dan (Jenni) Werling, Jim (Leslie) Werling, Kendrick Werling, Jennifer Warnement, Becky (Josef) Swora, Tom Scherger, Kevin Scherger, and Alysia Scherger.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Glenn Stewart and a niece, Crystal.

Renee was a 1972 graduate of Calvert High School, and Owens College.  She was a registered nurse at Mercy Health Tiffin Hospital, a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church and the Tiffin Lion’s Club as the secretary.  She enjoyed sewing, camping, and her grandchildren.

Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Thursday, May 19, 2016, at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, May 20, 2016, at the funeral home with Rev. Hannah Tucker officiating.  Burial will follow in Fairmont Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association, Lupus Foundation or to St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in care of the funeral home.
