Phyllis J. Nisius, 66, of Tiffin, died at 10:34 pm Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at Good Shephard Home, Fostoria. She was born to John and Julia (Kuriatnyk) Dundovich October 21, 1944 in Hibbing, Minn. Her mother is deceased and her father survives in Keewatin, Minn. She married George R. Nisius, February 22, 1969 in Hibbing. He died April 21, 2002.
Survivors include two sons, Gregory (Kristin) Nisius and Jeffrey Nisius, both of San Diego, Calif.; a grandson, Justin Nisius and a granddaughter, Addison Nisius, to be born soon; a brother, Michael (Kathy) Dundovich of San Diego; two sisters, Patricia Dundovich of St. Louis Park, Minn., Pamela (Wayne) LaBine of Keewatin; eight nieces and a nephew; and a brother-in-law, Kirk (Joanne) Kennedy of Brook Park, Ohio.
She is preceded in death by her mother; parents-in-law, Dr. George and Joan Nisius, Al and Ruth Kennedy.
Phyllis was a 1962 Keewatin High School graduate. She attended two years of college. She was a Real Estate Agent since 1993 with Coldwell Banker Hohman Wingart Realtors, Tiffin. During her 30 plus years in real estate, she worked with commercial real estate developers. She leased and managed commercial property and did residential sales. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the National Association of Realtors, the Ohio Association of Realtors, Fireland’s Association of Realtors and the Women of the Moose.
Visitation with the family will be 4-8 p.m. Friday, March 11, 2011 at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113 with a wake service at 8 pm at the funeral home.
The funeral Mass will be 9:30 am Saturday, March 12, 2011 at St. Joseph Catholic Church officiated by Rev. Joseph Szybka. The rosary will be recited 20 minutes prior to the Mass at the church. Burial will be at a later date in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hibbing, Minn.
Contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice in care of Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory.
