Phyllis Marie (Heckman) Ardner

Phyllis Marie Ardner, 88, of Durham, North Carolina, formerly of Tiffin, died Thursday, April 14, 2022, at her residence in Durham.

She was born March 11, 1934, in Republic, Ohio, to Clarence Bryan and Bessie Lucille (Hunker) Heckman.  She married Paul E. Ardner April 16, 1955, in St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria.  Paul died March 6, 2009.

Surviving are a son, Bryan (Jeanne) Ardner of Garner, NC; a daughter, Jill (David) Brese of Durham, NC; grandchildren Jeremy (Ashley) Ardner and their children Avery and Mason of Garner, NC; Drew (Kristen) Ardner and their daughter Olivia of Westchester, OH; Aaron Ardner of Tiffin, OH; Kevin (Ashton) Brese and their children Kason, Ada, and Parker of Liberty, NC; Bryan (Megan) Brese and their children Halle and Caleb of Raleigh, NC; Alex (Carley) Brese of Hillsborough, NC

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a sister, Evelyn Heuring

She was a graduate of Republic High School Class of 1952.

Funeral services will be 11 am Friday, April 22, 2022, at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, Ohio  44883 (419) 447-3113.  Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.  Rev. Joseph Szybka will officiate, with burial following in St. Jacob’s Cemetery, rural Republic.
