Phillip was born December 12, 1926 in Salisbury, Md. to Herman and Louisa (Vero) Heineken. He married Lela Vosburg June 20, 2001 in Tampa, Fla. and she survives.
Other survivors include a son, John (Barbara) Heineken of Tampa, Florida; a daughter, Sue (Glen) Schmitt of Lakeland, Fla. a step son, Terry (Toni) Bradner of Albion, Ind; two step daughters, Becky (James) Bell of Tiffin, Mary (Ron) Huckaby of Tampa, Fla; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Marion Heineken.
Phillip served in the United States Navy during WWII and he retired from small engine repair. Phillip enjoyed garage sales and tinkering.
There will be no visitation or funeral at this time. The Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113 is assisting the family with arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetes Foundation in care of the funeral home.
