Pearl Mae (Swander) Hepp, 85, of Tiffin, died 8:07 p.m. Sunday, November 7, 2021, at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center, Tiffin. She was born February 5, 1936, in Tiffin to Harold and Catherine (Stever) Swander. She married Albert John Hepp, November 29, 1992, and he died July 25, 2020.
Survivors include three sons, Tim (Kris) Bowers of Sandusky, David (Ann) Bowers of Omaha, Arkansas, Todd (Shelly ) Bowers of Tiffin; two step-sons, Alan (Laurie) Hepp of Landrum, South Carolina, Brian (Sarah) Hepp of West Independence; two step-daughters, Susan (Kevin) Mooney of Port Clinton, and Carole (Roscoe) Benson of Kettering; many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three brothers, James (Marty) Swander of Laguna Hills, California, Jerry (Phyliss) Swander of Bascom, Ohio, and Daryl (Kay)Swander of Laguna Woods, California; nieces, nephews, extended family, and good friends, Dick Huffmon, Tom Perin, and Lenny and Lisa Simmons.
She joins her parents, and husband in Heaven.
Pearl was a 1954 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School. She retired as an inspector for Ballreich’s Potato Chips and as a housekeeper at the Tiffin Developmental Center. She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, the VFW Auxiliary, a past president of Am Vets Auxiliary. She enjoyed sewing, DIY projects, woodworking, knitting, and puzzles that she and John put together.
There will be no visitation. A graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 4, 2021, at Seneca Memory Gardens. The funeral arrangements are entrusted to Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113.
