Paul F. Gatton, Jr. age 73 of Circular St. Tiffin, died at 5:30 PM, Monday, April 18, 2011 in the Emergency Room of Mercy Tiffin Hospital.
Paul was born to the late Paul F. and Margaret (Traunero) Gatton, Sr. December 2, 1937 in Tiffin, Ohio. He married Bonaventura H. (Bonnie) Schreiner April 27, 1963 in St. Joseph Catholic Church, and she survives in Tiffin.
Other survivors include his daughter, Debra Gatton of Tiffin; and a brother, Jack (Barbara) Gatton also of Tiffin.
Paul was a 1957 graduate of Calvert High School and then served in the United States Army, where he received the Good Conduct Medal. He worked at General Electric Co. for 24 years and then at Ameriwood for 19 years. Paul was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
Visitation with the family will be from 4 to 8 PM, Monday, April 25, 2011 at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 South Monroe St., Tiffin, Ohio, 44883, 419-447-3113. A rosary service will be recited at 8 pm.
Prayers will be said at 9:30 AM, Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at the funeral home, followed by the funeral Mass at 10 AM, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. Burial will be following the Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. The United Veterans Council of Seneca County will perform military rites at the grave site. The Rosary will be recited in Church 20 minutes prior to Mass.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or to Calvert Catholic Schools.
