Patricia A. Bakies, age 73 years, of 1050 S. CR 13, Tiffin, died at 7:07 P.M. Tuesday, June 22, 2004 in St. Vincent-Mercy Medical Center, Toledo, Ohio. She was born on April 29, 2004 in Tiffin, Ohio to Louis and Glennon (Clouch) Berry. On January 7, 1957 in Angola, Indiana, she married Richard Bakies.
Other survivors include 1 son, Steven ( Marcia) Bakies of Tiffin; 2 daughters, Diane Snavely of Tiffin; and Kimberly (Larry) Walls of Fostoria; 11 grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Bakies was a 1949 Columbian High School Graduate. She had retired as the owner of Pier Six Lounge in Tiffin. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, and the V.F.W. Auxiliary.
Mrs. Bakies was an avid bowler and B.I.N.G.O. player, as well as an avid fan of the Browns, Indians and the Buckeyes.
Burial will be in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, immediately following the Mass on Saturday. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice Care in care of Traunero Funeral Home, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883.
