She was born September 17, 1937, in Tiffin, to Berlie Vincent and Neva (Heminger) Ranker. She married Richard Leroy Winkler October 2, 1954 in Tiffin. He died October 23, 2007.
Survivors include a son, Richard E. Winkler of Tiffin; three daughters, Debra Smith of Fremont, Sherie (David) Hoerig of Tiffin, and Shelly (Marc) Frisch of Melmore; nine grandchildren, Joy (Holley) (Doug) Sayre, Michael (Lanie) Holley, Kevin (Jill) Holley, Crystal (Hoerig) (Gary) Hummel, Elizabeth (Winkler) Garcia-Perez, Brittany (Winkler) Aguado-Garcia, Joel Concepcion, Patricia Jo Concepcion, and Theresa Zeigler; ten great grandchildren; a brother, Gerald (Sue) Ranker of Tiffin; and a sister, Nancy Coffman of Bloomville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter, Laura Winkler, two grandsons, Craig Hoerig and Randy Hoerig, and a brother, Eugene Ranker.
Mrs. Winkler was a homemaker and a member of the Amvets and American Legion.
Funeral services will be 11:30 am Tuesday, December 10, 2013, at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419)447-3113, with Pastor Dan Vickey officiating.
Friends may call Tuesday from 10 am until time of services at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
