Norma Mae Schumm, age 86, formerly of 495 Melmore Street, Tiffin died at 3:45 pm, Saturday, September 5, 2009 at Seneca House, Tiffin. She was born on October 6,1922 in Tiffin to the late William H. and Mattie V. (Zehring) Williams.
On July 17,1943 she married Dale Keeth and he died in 1950. On December 27, 1952 in St. Joseph Catholic Church, she married James W. Schumm and he died on February 23, 1997.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda L. (Charles) Ardner of Tiffin; four grandchildren, Theresa (Tom) Sullivan, Edith (Tom) Bosler, Lucy (Robert) Witt, and Charles (Vanessa) Ardner.
She is preceded in death by two sisters, Marie Stover and Edith Kistler.
Mrs. Schumm was a graduate of Columbian High School and she attended the Toledo Beauty Academy. Norma had retired as a beautician, she was an office assistant at First Lutheran Church and a longtime secretary at the Veteran’s Administration. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Friends and family may call from 10-11am at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Wednesday, September 9, 2009. The Rosary will be recited 20 minutes prior to the Mass.
The Funeral Mass will be at 11 am Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. Burial will take place immediately following in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
