Nancy Louise (Traunero) Kiser, age 56, of E. CR 50, Tiffin, died at 7:15 pm Sunday, September 20, 2009, at St. Vincent-Mercy Medical Center, Toledo.
She was born November 18, 1952, in Tiffin, to Robert Joseph and Lois Jean (Smith) Traunero. Her mother died March 1, 2008, and her father survives in Tiffin. On June 29, 1974 , she married Jerome Kiser, and he survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Monica (Jason) Dawicke of Powell, Ohio, and Erica Kiser of Atlanta, Georgia; two sons, Gregory Kiser and Matthew Kiser, both of Tiffin; three sisters, Susan (Robert) Rupert of Bozeman, Mont., Janet (Dr. Steven) Fudge of Sylvania, and Marla (James) Lang of Tiffin; three brothers, John (Patricia) Traunero of Newark, Del., Paul (Richarda) Traunero of Oak Hill, Virginia, and Richard (Andrea) Traunero of Tiffin; and many nieces and nephews.
Nancy was preceded in death by her mother and an infant son, Jason Alan Kiser.
She was a 1971 graduate of Columbian High School and a 1975 graduate of Notre Dame College. She earned her Masters Degree from Heidelberg University.
She was an administrative assistant at Mercy Hospital, a teacher at Calvert High School, a Visiting teacher for Tiffin City Schools, a teacher at Columbian High School, and was currently attendance officer for the Tiffin City Schools.
Nancy was a life long member of St. Mary Catholic Church, where she served as a lector and a Eucharistic Minister. She was very active in many civic and community organizations. She was a very devoted and loving mother to her children.
Friends and family may call Thursday, September 24, from 1-8 pm, at Traunero Funeral Home, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419)447-3113. A Wake Service will be 12:30 pm at the funeral home.
Prayers will be said at the funeral home at 9:30 am Friday, September 25, 2009, followed by the Funeral Mass at 10 am, at St. Mary Catholic Church, with Rev. Gary Walters officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. The Rosary will be recited in Church 20 minutes prior to Mass.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Matthew Kiser Scholarship Fund or to a charity of the donor’s choice in care of Traunero Funeral Home.
