Myrna Lea Riedel, 87, of Fort Seneca, died at 1:16 p.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at Elmwood Assisted Living, Tiffin.

She was born June 24, 1938, in Fort Seneca, to Lester Marion and Luella Esma (Hoke) Stiger. She married Jan L. Riedel March 15, 1958, in Fort Seneca, and they divorced after 18 years of marriage.

Survivors include nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Jean Berlekamp, Shirley Eborg, and Delean McDonald.

Myrna was a 1956 graduate of Old Fort High School, where she had been active in 4-H and the school chorus and orchestra. Her career included working as an office clerk at Coca-Cola Bottling Co. of Tiffin and, later, as a purchasing agent for Basic Refractories for more than 45 years.

She was a member of the Basic Belles, National Management Association, where she served as the local president, and also president of Basic Quarter Century Club. She was a member of Shiloh Methodist Church, where she served as Sunday School superintendent and advisor to youth groups.

In the 1970s and early 1980s, Myrna performed with the Tiffin Women's Chorus and later joined the Tiffin Business and Professional Women, serving in several chairs and offices, becoming president of the local chapter in 1993.

Myrna enjoyed sewing, needlework, and doll collecting. In 1990, she, along with her sisters, opened The Enchanted Moment Doll and Gift Shoppe in Fremont, and in 1999, it was moved to Tiffin, where it eventually included a museum/gallery. She then added doll repair after attending intensive courses on that art in Virginia and Washington, DC. She had also taken creative writing courses and was a published author.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 17, 2026, from 10 a.m. until the time of service, at 11:00 a.m. at TRAUNERO FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113. Rev. Andrea Thurston will officiate, and burial will follow in Pleasant Union Cemetery, Old Fort.

Memorials may be made to Southern Care Hospice.
