He was born October 6, 1942 in Tiffin to Justin A. and Verina C. (Hepp) Alt.
Mr. Alt is survived by four brothers and a sister, Jerome H. (Marcia) Alt of Fremont, Wilfred L. (Alice) Alt of Plano, Texas, Stephen M. (Sue) Alt of Tiffin, Janette (Jim) Ruffing of Findlay, Rev. Kenneth G. Alt, C.P.P.S. of Celina, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Alt was a 1960 graduate of Calvert High School and did custodial work at various locations in Tiffin over the years and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 5-8 pm on Monday, June 3, 2013 at the Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883, 419-447-3113, with a Wake service at 8 pm at the funeral home.
Prayers will be said at 9:30 am Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be 10 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church officiated by his brother, the Rev. Kenneth G. Alt. The Rosary will be recited 20 minutes prior to the Mass at church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Calvert Catholic Schools, or Stein Hospice in care of the funeral home.
