Melissa JoLynn Boucher, age 24, of Sycamore, Ohio, died on August 22, 2002. She was born in Tiffin, Ohio, to Robert P. and Barbara A. (Romig) Smith, III, on November 5, 1977. She married Matthew Boucher on July 5, 1995 in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin, Ohio. He survives. Other survivors include her 2 sons, Allen and Brandon Boucher, both at home; her mother and step-father Barbara and Douglas DeTray of Tiffin; her father and step-mother Robert and Michelle Smith, III; a paternal grandmother, Johanna Smith of Yuma, Arizona; 2 maternal grandfathers, Richard Romig of Tiffin, and Gary Shumaker of Sycamore; 5 sisters, Jaclyn (Shawn) Tood of Tiffin, April Smith, Ashley Smith, Brittany Smith, and Cierra Smith all of Tiffin; 1 step-brother, Paul DeTray of Tiffin; 1 step-sister, Faye DeTray of Tiffin; and her parents-in-law, David and Merilee Boucher of Tiffin.
Mrs. Boucher was a full time student at Ohio State University, Marion Campus. She had also worked for Verizon Corporation in Marion. She belonged to St. Pius X Catholic Church in Sycamore.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cememtery.
A wake service will be held on Monday, August 26, 2002 at 7:45 PM in the funeral home. The rosary will be recited 15 minutes prior to the Funeral Mass at the church.
