Mary R. Paradiso, age 88 years, formerly of Oak Street, currently of St. Francis Home, died at 9:21 PM, Monday, December 15, 2008 at Mercy Hospital of Tiffin.
Mary was born December 11, 1920 to the late Salvatore and Maria G. (Cercelli) Paradiso in Tiffin.
She is survived by one brother Salvatore “Sam” (Rachel) Paradiso of Tiffin; two sisters, Philomena “Tommy” Mathias of Tiffin and Gilda Sue (John) Sczesny of Fostoria; two sisters-in-law, Rose Paradiso of Tiffin, and Barbara Paradiso of Bowling Green, Ohio, also many nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by three brothers, Tony, Joe and Dan Paradiso; three sisters, Michaelina Paulus, Sara Ambrose and Carmen Jean Cervantes.
Mary graduated from Calvert High School in 1938, she was a retired secretary and office worker for Sears and Roebuck Company of Tiffin and she was a very active member of St. Mary Catholic Church.
The Funeral Mass will be officiated by the Rev. Gary Walters at 10 AM, Friday, December 19, 2008 at St. Mary Catholic Church. The rosary will be recited 15 minutes prior to the mass. Burial will take place immediately following in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM, Thursday, December 18, 2008 with a wake service held at 4:30 PM at Traunero Funeral Home, 214 South Monroe St. Tiffin, Ohio 44883, 419-447-3113.
