She was born July 16, 1932 in Tiffin to Albert and Helen (Becker) Bihn. She married William Kovasckitz, Feb. 4, 1956 in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin. He died Sept 14, 2000.
Survivors include a son, David (Lorrayne) Kovasckitz of Tiffin; three daughters, Kathy (Steve) Sours of Clyde, Kristi (Jeff) Molyet of Old Fort, and Laurie (Steve) Starr of Clyde; 10 grandchildren, Zachariah, Heather, Andy, Tricia, Abby, Hailey, Jeffery, Billy, Brandon, and Brady; 5 great grandchildren; a brother, David (Lois) Bihn of Tiffin and a sister-in-law, Ruth Bihn of Findlay.
She is preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Bihn and an infant daughter, Jean.
Mary was a 1950 graduate of Calvert High School. She was a loving homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother. She worked at Dandurand Photography, later at JJ Fleck Company and Goodwill. She was a devoted member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was a giving person.
Visitation for family and friends will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday, Sept 8, 2013 at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113. The wake service will be at 3:45 pm at the funeral home.
Prayers will be said at 9:30 a.m. Monday, Sept 9, 2013 at the funeral home followed by the Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Rev. Joseph Szybka will officiate. The rosary will be recited 20 minutes prior to the Mass at the church. Burial will follow immediately in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ohio Right to Life, or to St. Joseph Catholic Church in care of the funeral home.
