Mary Elizabeth Kinn, 98, of Tiffin, died at 2:44 pm Saturday, July 18, 2026, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.
She was born December 25, 1927, in Seneca County, to George Henry and Matilda (Brickner) Kimmet. She married Cyrille R. Kinn November 27, 1947, in St. Andrew Catholic Church, Liberty Twp. He died July 2, 1987.
Surviving are two sons, Herman Kinn of Bloomville, and Daniel (Phyllis) Kinn of Tiffin; two daughters, Barbara (John) Veselka of Englewood, Fla, and Judy (Steve) Steinmetz of Tiffin; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 18 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons, Robert and Thomas Kinn, a son-in-law, Charles Ulrich Sr., a daughter-in-law, Deborah Kinn, two sisters, Rita Kinn and Hilda Breidenbach, and three brothers, Richard, Felix, and Anthony Kimmet.
Mary was a 1946 graduate of Calvert High School. She was a homemaker and had worked for the Census Bureau and was a cook at Ruffing Nursing Home, Bloomville. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, was an avid bingo player, and she enjoyed sewing.
Visitation will be 4-8 pm Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at TRAUNERO FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419)447-3113.
Prayers will be said at 9:30 am Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at the funeral home, followed by the funeral Mass at 10 am at St. Mary Catholic Church. Rev. Matthew Rader will officiate, and burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. The Rosary will be recited in church 30 minutes prior to Mass.
Memorials may be made to Bridge Hospice or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
