Marilyn K. Wurm, age 71, of 302 North Sandusky St., Tiffin, Ohio died after a valiant struggle trying to battle ovarian cancer at 10:34 pm Friday, January 30, 2009, at her residence surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born November 4, 1937, to Clarence and Mary Ellen (Homan) Boner. Her mother survives in Tiffin. She married Victor Wurm on January 5, 1957 in St. Mary Catholic Church, and he survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Randy (Carol) Wurm of Delaware, Ohio; Tim Wurm of Tiffin; two daughters, Victoria L. Miracle, Andrea K. (Tim) Ball both of Tiffin; six grandchildren, Rachel Wurm, Andrea Wurm, Ashley Trautman, McKenzie Ball, Austin Ball, and Madison Ball; two brothers, Eugene Boner of Tiffin; Ronnie Boner of Findlay; and one sister, Nancy Burns, of Sarasota, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Marilyn was a 1955 Calvert High School graduate. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and its Rosary Altar Society. She was a loving wife and mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed. She enjoyed her grandchildren’s sports and activities. Marilyn was always ready to lend a hand and help others. Everyone who met her was touched by her kindness and generosity. She was loved by all who met her.
Family and Friends may call from 2-8 pm, Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at Traunero Funeral Home, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419)447-3113. The Wake Service will be said at 1:45 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
Prayers will be said at the funeral home at 9:30 am Wednesday, February 4, followed by the funeral Mass at 10:00 am, officiated by the Rev. Eric Culler in St. Mary Catholic Church. The Rosary will be recited in church 20 minutes prior to the Mass. Burial will take place immediately following in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to F.A.C.T. or to Calvert Catholic Schools in care of Traunero Funeral Home.
