She was born Dec 27, 1912 in Tiffin to Franklin and Minnie (Wilkinson) Peer. She married Herbert L. McClellan June 7, 1937 in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin. He died September 23, 1971.
Survivors include, 3 sons, Herbert E. McClellan of Tiffin, John P. (Chris) McClellan of Fremont, Richard J. (Betty) McClellan of Tiffin; a daughter, Patricia A. (Joe) Depinet, of Tiffin; 14 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, and 17 great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Virgil and George Peer and a sister, Mildred Bauer.
Marie was a Tiffin Columbian High School graduate. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Francis Auxiliary, Tiffin Women’s Club, and the Mercy Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed bowling and spending time with her grandchildren.
Funeral Mass will be 11:30 am Friday, May 25, 2012, at St. Francis Home Chapel with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. Burial will take place immediately following in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral at St. Francis Home Chapel.
