Marian K. Kerkhoff, age 94, formerly of Beechwood Dr., died at 8:50 am, Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at St. Francis Home.
Marian was born on December 9, 1915 to the late Ira and Rose (Weiss) Summey in Fremont, Ohio. She married Peter A. Kerkhoff, June 8, 1940 in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Fremont and he preceded her in death October 12, 1980.
Marian is survived by one daughter, Kathleen (Norman) Twining of Tiffin; two grandchildren, Christine and Bruce Waters; one great-grandson, Dustin Waters; one step great grandson, Austin Cramer; and one sister, Pauline (Richard) House of Albuquerque, N.M.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Carole Breeding; one brother, Louis Summey; and one sister, Norma Forgatsch.
Marian was a 1934 graduate of St. Joseph High School in Fremont. She retired from the Sixes Corner Branch of Commercial National Bank in 1983 after 22 years as Bank Officer and Manager. Marian was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Legion of Mary, the Poor Souls Society, and the Allen Eiry Senior Center and was an avid card player.
Visitation will be from 10-11am Monday, December 28, 2009 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin.
The funeral Mass will be 11 am Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church officiated by the Rev. Joseph Szybka. Burial will take place in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
