Marcella Agnes Pahl, age 92, of Tiffin, Ohio, died at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday,March 5, 2003 at St. Francis Home, Tiffin, where she had resided since 1987.
She was born April 12, 1910 to James and Mary (Fate) Huffmon. On October 10, 1931, in St. Mary Catholic Church, she married George H. Pahl. He died July 21, 1955.
Surviving are 3 sons, David (Mary Ann) Pahl of Tiffin, George (Norma) Pahl Jr; of Indianapolis, Indiana; and Jerry (Sylvia) Pahl of Kalamazoo, Michigan; 2 daughters, Suzanne (Robert) Simmons of Tiffin; and Sister Mary St. Paul of the Poor Clare Order in Cleveland; 6 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were 4 brothers, Louis, Jess, Edward, and Robert Huffmon and 3 sisters Estella Hartman, Corrine Furiate and Helen Haefling.
Mrs. Pahl was a 1928 graduate of Calvert High School where she was a member of the school's first girl's basketball team, she also attended one year at Mary Manse College.
George and Marcella were co-owners of the Pahl Funeral Home (now Hannay-Traunero Funeral Home) from 1943-1956. She also was employed from 1952-1975 at the First National Bank, (now National City Bank), retiring as a teller. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin.
Rev. Richard Dunn and Msgr. Edward Dunn will con-celebrate. Burial will take place in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
