Tiffin

Lina L. “Sis” (Krupp) Weimerskirch, 96, of Tiffin, passed away Thursday, July 28, 2022, at The Willows of Tiffin after a brief illness.
She was born October 18, 1925, in New Washington, to Cornelius and Agnes (Weithman) Krupp, the second of nine children. Lina was united in marriage to Richard J. Weimerskirch July 2, 1949, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. He died January 13, 2011, after 61 years of marriage.

She is survived by her children, Jane (Tim) Quinn, of Bay City, Michigan, Thomas (Bonnie) Weimerskirch of Tiffin, Ann (John) Jenny of Columbus, and Janis (Dick) Stasik of Bay City, Michigan; nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; a sister, June Swope, and two brothers, Ron (Suzanne) Krupp and Dave (Kathy) Krupp all of Tiffin.

Lina is preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters, Mary Nucifera, Betty Decker, and Dorothy Link; and two brothers, Cornelius (Bud) Krupp and Tom Krupp.
She was a 1943 graduate of Calvert High School and a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was a devout Catholic and prayed the rosary daily. She was a homemaker.

Lina’s greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, whether it be for holidays, family celebrations, playing cards (especially 9’s and euchre), or just visiting with family, neighbors, or friends. She and Rich provided their children with a Catholic upbringing and education and took pride in and encouraged their children in furthering their education. She and Rich were blessed to have been able to enjoy many years wintering in Florida, in the same locale as many of her siblings and then, in more recent years, their children.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 6, 2022, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Anthony Coci officiating.  The rosary will be recited 30 minutes prior to the Mass at the church. Burial will take place immediately following in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

The Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe St. Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
