Kathleen Sue (Weatherholt) Crowell, of Hendersonville, NC, formerly of Tiffin, died September 9, 2024.
On a beautiful starry night the angels took Kathy to her heavenly Father and her one true love of 50 years, her beloved husband, John.
Born in Tiffin November 14, 1949, to Sylvester and Mary Helen (Wank) Weatherholt, Kathy graduated from Calvert High School and Cleveland St. Luke’s for X-ray technology. She settled in Florida, then Colorado, and then North Carolina with many stops along the way since she and John loved to travel.
She was surrounded by loved ones and her capacity to love came from her strong Catholic faith. Family and friends were the cornerstone of her existence. Her love for her siblings Don and Judy endured throughout the years along with her long term friend, Bob, who was by her side, as well as her dog Duchess.
Kathy was a woman of boundless energy, staying busy with her quilting club, donating many gorgeous quilts to churches, hospitals, abused animal shelters and her flower shop, along with too many others to count.
Even though Kathy is gone her legacy of love, laughter and zest for life will forever be cherished in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know her.
In the tapestry of life she leaves behind a legacy woven in fabric with threads of compassion and cherished memories. A testimony in a life well lived and a love that knows no bounds. May her soul find peace in the loving arms of the Lord and may her memories be a source of comfort to all those who loved her.
Visitation for family and friends will be 4 to 7 pm Thursday, May 28, 2026, at the TRAUNERO FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883. Funeral Mass will be 10 am Friday, May 29, at St. Mary Catholic Church, with burial following in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
