Joseph C. Angus, III, 70, of S. TR 159, Tiffin, Ohio, died at 8:25 p.m. Thursday, March 17, 2011 at his residence. He was born to Joseph C. and Dahlia B. (Dull) Angus, II, July 5, 1940 in Tiffin. He married Jean C. Fisher November 25, 1959 at St. John’s United Church of Christ, Tiffin and she survives.

Other survivors include two sons, Joseph C. (Laddawan) Angus, IV of Virginia Beach, Va. and Robert J. (Kimberly) Angus of Adairsville, Ga.; a daughter, Brenda R. (Matt) Gordon of Findlay; seven grandchildren, Vivien R., Joseph C., V, Jack L., Cassidy B. Angus, Aubrey Gordon, Caleb, and Chris Falconbury; a brother John O. (Constance) Angus of Midland, Tx.; a half brother, Ronald (Sue) Borer of Covington, Va.; and two sisters, Alicia (Gene) Jacobs, of Dade City, Fla. and Carol Angus of Tiffin.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Joe was a 1958 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School, 1959 graduate of Cleveland Engineering Institute and 1991 graduate of Tiffin University. He served in the United States Army from 1963 – 1965. He retired in 2001 from National Machinery Company where he worked for 42 years. He was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ Church, the Quarter Century Club, Tiffin Amvets, Tiffin Eagles, Tiffin Moose and the American Legion. He had been a “Winter Texan” for the past eight years. He enjoyed growing tomatoes, fishing, hunting, and camping.

Visitation will be 9 to 10 am Monday, March 21, 2011, with services at 10 am, at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113. Rev. Pamela Easterday will officiate, with burial following in Woodlawn Cemetery, Bloomville. The United Veterans Council of Seneca County will perform military rites at the grave.

Memorial contributions may be made to F.A.C.T. of Seneca County or to Community Hospice Care in care of the funeral home.
