He was born November 3, 1930 in Seneca County to Theodore and Amelia (Frisch) Rospert. He married Ruth E. Perkins July 30, 1955 in Tiffin and she survives.
Other survivors include, two daughters Paula J. (Gary) Clagg of Tiffin and Shirlene L. (G.O.) Justus of Plain City, Ohio; four granddaughters, Nicole E. (Michael) Salaciak, Monique G. Clagg, Jacquelene L. Justus and Jenna M. Justus; two brothers, Thomas (Elaine) Rospert, Lakewood, Bernard (Ina) Rospert of Bellevue; and two sisters, Marjorie (John) Loose, of Bellevue and Mary (Toot) (Earl) Wetzel, of Sandusky.
He is preceded in death by a brother, John Rospert and a sister, Rita Bender.
Joseph was a 1948 Thompson High School graduate. He had retired after 40 years as a repairman at National Machinery Company. He attended Faith United Methodist Church, and was a member of the Quarter Century Club, Eagles Aerie 402, and the Knights of Columbus.
Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at Traunero Funeral Home, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113. The Quarter Century Club will meet at 7:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at the funeral home with Rev. Donna Van Trees officiating. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery immediately following.
