Joan P. Chaney, age 70, of E. Perry St., Tiffin, died at 3:20 am Friday, January 15, 2010, at Ruffing Family Care Center, Tiffin.
She was born January 14, 1940, in Chicago, to the late William Edward and Neuvitas (Barron) Goins.
Survivors include a sister, Joy Knaggs of Durango, Colorado, and a brother, Mitchell Goins of Tiffin.
She was preceded in death by a son, Shawn Chaney.
Ms. Chaney was a graduate of Bloomville High School and taught school in Fremont many years ago.
Graveside services will be 11 am Wednesday, January 20, 2010, at the Seneca County Home Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
