She was born September 7, 1922, in Ribolt, Ky., to Sherman B. and Jeanette (Fite) Wilson. She married Henry C. Ferguson June 17, 1939 in Virginia. He died March 22, 1991.
Survivors include two daughters, Anne Ellis and Nearline (Harley) Shaull, both of Tiffin; three grandchildren, LaQuita Chanay, Robert Shaull, and Barton Shaull; ten great grandchildren, Brittany Murray, Jessica Koepfler, Jamee Stewart Glass, Jeffrey Bauer, Rian Thiery, Madison Shaull, Kennedy Shaull, Carter Shaull, Cooper Shaull, and Zac Dixon; four great-great grandchildren, Jett Murray, Brody Murray, Mackenzie Koepfler, and Caleb Koepfler; a half-brother, Harold Eugene Wilson, and a half-sister, Beaulah Leverett, both of Valrico, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, Scott Chanay, two brothers, Ralph and Douglas Wilson, and two sisters, Alice Barbour and Imojean Nance.
Mrs. Ferguson retired as a manager for Spiegel’s Catalog Store, Tiffin. She also owned Nickie’s Hair Fashions for 40 years. She was a member of Fort Seneca United Church of Christ.
Funeral services will be 11 am Wednesday, February 15, 2012, at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419)447-3113. Rev. Becky Jones will officiate, with burial following in Pleasant Union Cemetery, Old Fort. Friends may call one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
