Janet Otilda Dick, 73, of Minerva Street, Tiffin, died at 11:05 p.m. Saturday, November 6, 2010 at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo.
She was born March 7, 1937 in Kirby, Ohio to the late Edmund and Arleen (Mathias) Kin. She married Junior Dick July 21, 1953 in Indiana and he survives.
Other survivors include two sons, David (Pamela) Dick of Bettsville, Gerald Dick of Upper Sandusky; four daughters, Catherine (Vernon) Hites, Sandra (Richard) Hiser both of Tiffin; Carol Dick of Glendale, Ariz. and Wendy Dick of Tiffin; 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; two sisters, Rosann (Rob) Vanliew of Sycamore, Susann (Bruce) Laugherty of Tiffin.
She is preceded in death by a son, Lonnie Dick; a grandson, Richard Hites, and a brother, Vincent Kin.
Janet attended New Riegel High School. She had retired after 19 years from Mercy Tiffin Hospital as a cook and dietician. She loved spending her time knitting, crocheting, quilting, and being with her family.
Visitation with the family will be 2 - 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113.
The funeral service will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday, November 9 at the funeral home officiated by Rev. Gary Walters with visitation to continue after the service. Burial will be in Seneca Memory Gardens at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory.
