He was born September 25, 1938, in Medford, Oklahoma, to Gordon Neil and Margaret Pauline (Harris) Ballard. He married Marilyn Barney August 19, 1963, in Butler, Ind., and she survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Christy Lynn Ballard-Gates of Prosperity, S. Car., Barbra Ann Ballard-Greathouse of Fort Seneca, and Joanie Marie Ballard-Hood of Irmo, S. Car.; a brother, John Ballard of Texas; and three sisters, Paula Jo Lewis of Sandusky, Glorine “Fay” Ballard of Fremont, and Glendene “Deaner” Brunett of Fayetteville, N. Car.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Beverly Long.
Mr. Ballard was a carpenter.
