Helen Brandt Mitten, 83, of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, formerly of Tiffin, died at 8:24 a.m. on Monday, June 28, 2004. She was born in Tiffin on July 27, 1920 to Marion E. and Eunice (Eckleberry) Brandt. She married Linus P. Mitten. He died in August of 1983.
Survivors include a son, Marion E. Mitten, of Columbia, South Carolina, a daughter, Barbara H. Mitten, of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, 3 grandchildren, Michael Mitten, Jeffrey Mitten, and Erika Mitten, and 1 great-grandchild, Laura Mitten. Mrs. Mitten was preceded by a sister, Corinne Weininger.
Mrs. Mitten was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church while living in Tiffin.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
