D. Harold Cooley, Jr.

D. Harold Cooley, Jr., 90, of Tiffin, died at 2 a.m. Wednesday, December 25, 2024, at St. Francis Home.

Harold was born January 26, 1934, in Bloomville to Dorsey Harold and Elrita (Hall) Cooley, Sr. He married Ida M. McCleland on March 7, 1954, in Bloomville and she survives in Tiffin.

Other survivors include two sons, Dr. Joel Cooley of Virginia Beach, VA and David (Sandra) Cooley of Tiffin; a daughter, DeAnna (Chris) Hufford of Bloomville; four grandchildren, Teá Cooley, Jonathan Hufford, Janelle (Eric) Smith, Justin (Kari) Turpin; three great-grandchildren, Mason Trumbull, Maddi Turpin, Myla Turpin; a sister, Ann (Don) Winegardner of Republic; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Harold was a graduate of Bloomville High School, he farmed for many years and worked at National Machinery, and the Seneca County Engineer Department. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Tiffin. 

Services will be 11 am Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at TRAUNERO FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113.  Rev. Katie Treadway will officiate, and visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  Private burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Bloomville.
