Geraldine M. Corthell, age 91, of Tiffin, died at 5:25 a.m., Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at Autumnwood Care Center, Volunteers of America.
Geraldine was born September 7, 1918 to the late William and Delilah (Border) Below in Fostoria, Ohio. She married John Corthell August 25, 1945 in Tiffin, and he preceded her in death on April 30, 2002.
She is survived by two sons, Lonnie Corthell of Tiffin and David Corthell of Orlando, Fla.; five grandchildren, Scott, Eric, Nick, Mandy and Lisa Corthell; and two great-grandchildren, Julian and Jack Corthell.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Catherine Stone.
Geraldine attended Fostoria and Columbian High Schools; she later worked in Food Service at Heidelberg College. Geraldine was a member of First Lutheran Church of Tiffin, the First Lutheran Women’s Circle; she was a past president of the Tiffin Woman’s Club and of the Eagles Auxiliary; she also volunteered at her church.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 4, 2010, at First Lutheran Church of Tiffin with the Rev. Jan Kucera officiating. Burial will follow at Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria, Ohio.
