Genevieve Schreiner, age 82, formally of 859 Miami Street, Tiffin, died at St. Francis Nursing Home, in Tiffin, at 8:20 p.m., Friday, February 22, 2002. She was born on September 25, 1919 to Frank A. and Mary (Elchert) Schreiner.
On November 4, 1936, she married Joseph Schreiner at St. Boniface Catholic Church. He does not survive.
Other survivors include, 3 sons, Joseph "Jim" (Pat) Schreiner, Richard (Mary) Schreiner, and Gerald (Jane) Schreiner; 1 daughter, Elizabeth (Ken) Breidenbach; 2 brothers, Marion Schreiner and Edmund Schreiner; 1 sister, Clarene Gase; 10 Grandchildren, 19 Great-Grandchildren, 2 Step Great-Grandchildren, and 8 Step Great-Grandchildren.
Mrs. Schreiner retired as an aide at Seneca County Home and she also had previously worked at Tiffin Glass House.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
There will be a wake service at 8:45 PM on Monday evening at the funeral home and the Rosary will be recited 15 minutes prior to the Mass at the church.
Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Community Hospice Care in care of the funeral home.
