Other survivors include a son, Scott Shumaker; two daughters, Melissa and Amanda Shumaker all of Columbus; three brothers, Anthony, Steve, and Alan Shumaker; three sisters, Christine Stahl, Linda Stansbery and June Larick.
Gary was a devoted and adoring husband, father, and brother. He was a collector, and a staple at local auctions and flea markets. He loved to travel, spend time with family, and watch the Ohio State Buckeyes. Gary was a 1972 Upper Sandusky High School graduate and he worked for Buckeye Pipeline Company in Toledo.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec 8, 2011 and 10-11 a.m. Friday, Dec 9 at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883, 419-447-3113.
The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, Dec 9, 2011 at the funeral home with Rev. Gary Walters officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Seneca County or to the Angeline School and Industries in Upper Sandusky in care of the funeral home.
