Earl Eugene Hoffman, age 81, of Olive Street, Tiffin, Ohio died on March 12, 2002 at the Emergency Room of Mercy Hospital, Tiffin.
He was born on January 4, 1921 to Perry and Margaret (Kiesel) Hoffman. He married Virginia Smith on June 27, 1942 at St. John's United Church of Christ in Tiffin. She survives in Tiffin.
Other survivors include 2 sons, Perry and Patricia Hoffman of Findlay, Ohio; Gary and Connie Hoffman of Peotone, Illinois; 3 daughters, Mrs. Dan (Connie) Everhart; Mrs. Victor (Kathy) Chartier; and Mrs. Dan (Ann) Laux all of Tiffin, Ohio, 9 Grandchildren, Andrew, Aaron, Jason, Joei, Scott, Robyn, Ashlie, Jacob, and Evan; and 2 Great-Grandchildren.
Mr. Hoffman was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Stella Welter and Mae Young; and 1 brother, William Hoffman.
Mr. Hoffman had attended Columbian High School. He served in the United States Navy from April 25, 1944 to January 11, 1946. He had retired as a Feedbox Assembler from National Machinery. He was also a member of the Quarter Century Club.
Burial will take place immediately following the Funeral Services with the United Veterans Council performing the military rites.
