Doris Ann Williams

Doris Ann Williams, 84, of New Riegel, died at 3:10 p.m. Sunday, January 28, 2024, at The Willows at Tiffin.

She was born November 24, 1939, in Tiro, Ohio to George and Mary (Durnwald) Lucius. She married Richard Williams April 8, 1961, in North Auburn, and he survives.

Other survivors include three sons, Thomas (Paula Duran) Williams of Tiffin, John (Leslie) Williams and David (Shelly) Williams both of New Riegel; five daughters, Donna (Steve) Frank, Norma (Rick) Steiner both of Tiffin, Susan (Roger) Steinmetz of Bellevue, Rose (Bruce) Gunner of Maumee, and Debra (Jerry) Hanna of Alvada; 20 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren with three on the way, four brothers, Herbert, Kenneth (Cathy) and Norman (Gerri) Lucius all of New Washington and Robert Lucius of Shelby.

She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Joseph and George Lucius, Jr; and a sister, Joan Wise.

Doris was a graduate of New Washington High School.  She was a homemaker and a cook for Kiwanis Manor and St. Catherine’s Care Center both in Tiffin.  She was a member of All Saints Parish, New Riegel, its Rosary Altar Society, Young Farm Wives, and the New Riegel Moose.  She enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s activities, playing cards, and spending time with family.

Visitation for family and friends will be 1-3 and 5-7 p.m. Friday, February 2, 2024, at TRAUNERO FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113.
The rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Visitation will also be Saturday, Feb. 3, 2024, 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. at All Saints Parish, New Riegel.

Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 a.m. at All Saints Parish, with Rev. Ron Schock officiating.  Burial will take place at St. Nicholas Cemetery, Frenchtown.

Memorial contributions may be made to All Saints Parish or charities of the donor’s choice.
